Featured Game - Endless Ocean 2 (Wii)

Title: Endless Ocean 2: Adventures of the Deep (Wii)
Console: Nintendo Wii

The sequel to Arika's Wii launch title, Endless Ocean 2 takes you back to diving. The dives have an expanded scope this time, and the plot travels through the game from basic search and retrieval to more complex plots.

While Endless Ocean was possibly the most relaxing game ever, the sequel adds action to the mix. Early encounters with an aggressive humpback and predatory fish make it a more eventful game than the original. Its a good game.

In my personal opinion, I actually prefered the original for its greater focus on diving and exploration, but that isn't going to stop me finishing this one since it's a good game - just different.

A feedback request

Just a quick note to ask that customers please to leave feedback if they are happy with their purchase. As an online business, we live and die on reputation - a fact that some scammers have taken advantage of.

We do have a high level of repeat custom, so if you like our service enough to come back, please leave a note to tell others why.

And our sincere thanks to all those who have left feedback, and helped us build the business over the last ten years. We look forward to working with you in the future!

Featured Games: a new feature on the blog

Each Friday we are releasing a new entry on the blog, which is our Featured Game for the week. The Featured Game has one basic rule:

No new releases. Given the cost of new releases on the current consoles the idea of our Featured Game hope is to promote mid-range or often overlooked games which can provide a solid playing experience without breaking the bank.

Otherwise it will simply be highlighting games the writers have played and enjoyed - and hope that someone else can enjoy.

Featured Game - Cabela's Dangerous Adventures (Wii)

Title: Cabela's Dangerous Adventures
Console: Nintendo Wii

Hard to get hold of in this format, this is the classic hunting title by specialists Cabela. Take on some of the world's most dangerous animals in your living room. Experience stalking and shooting some of the more endagered species - without the ethical issues of actually hunting them.

One advantage of the Wii is that there is no need to buy a seperate light gun controller. Several companies do attachments that turn the wii-mote and nunchuck into a passable light gun, ranging fom the cheap and cheerful to tripod mounted rifles with laser sights.

Featured Game - Lego Star Wars (Wii)

Title: Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga (Wii)
Console: Nintendo Wii

Currently our all-time best-seller*, and with good reason. Combining lego, and who doesn't like building blocks, with one of the most successful movie franchises of all time. The complete adventures features the original and prequel trilogies in a reworking of the original Lego titles.

Also available on the PS3 (see here), it seems to be more popular on the Wii, perhaps for the innovative control system.

*For anyone interested, its competition is Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem on the Gamecube, and Dark Chronicle on the PS2.

Featured Game - Endless Ocean

Title: Endless Ocean
Console: Nintendo Wii

After the success of Everblue and its sequel, Arika's launch title for the Wii followed the same theme. Fortunately it also followed the level of quality, offering something different, details and with graphics and a soundtrack to die for.

With Endless Ocean 2: Adventures of the Deep (Wii) soon to be released in PAL, now is definitely the time to look out this first title and replay it, just to set the mood.
